Summer Camp Multi-Children

To sign up 3+ children from the same household

A 5-day camp for outdoor, art-loving kids, ages 6-16. Morning clay play, a nature walk, outdoor picnic lunch, watercolor + folk art projects.  Children 10 and up will get to try the wheel! We will take a walk to collect findings along the trail and do some nature journaling. On Friday your child will bring home their own handmade nature/art journal filled with their own artwork as well as their new watercolor palette provided.  Their pottery will be ready within the month for pickup after the final firing.

  • bring an apron/t shirt to wear over clothes
  • pack a sack lunch
  • water bottle/sunscreen
  • wear comfortable shoes for walking/running
  • younger children: bring/wear under clothes a bathing suit if desired for water play at end of camp
  • teens: pack a book
  • PICKUP TIME for parents: this will be 2-2:30. I will have a kiddie pool set up for younger ones, and older ones will be allowed free time for reading or hose play away from little kids.

Discounted camp for Volunteers

Perfect for moms or dads with lots of energy to help out who are looking for a lower cost! If you would like to be present for the entirety of the camp to help manage all children and activities I would welcome the help and just ask this small fee for clay and watercolor supplies. Covers 2 children. For more children, select 2.

I teach out of my at- home garage-studio in a lovely location in the Hazel Dell area of Vancouver, WA. My private residence happens to be on a cornfield and we have a hoop, apple tree, treehouse, and plenty of space for other siblings to muck around / get energy out during / after class. Feel free to set up a meeting time if you’d like to scope it out first! Because this is a private residence and I do not have an official business, I send out the address once I’m in contact with you/prospective students.
A little bit about me (your teacher!): Outgoing, social and friendly, I have always been a natural teacher. I taught beginner piano lessons while being homeschooled as a teenager, homeschooled my children for a while, taught children’s pottery classes about a decade ago when working as a potter, and have also spent time working with fellow artists/running a Ceramics Studio called Touchstone in the Allegheny Mountains in PA where classes were held Spring through Fall. Here in Vancouver, WA where I call home now,  I offer classes out of the comfort of my own home for all ages and I aim to make them interactive, fun and memorable.
